ATD Consulting is proud to have taken part in Chatham House’s flagship “Europe’s Strategic Choices 2025” conference at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin, where over 500 participants and more than 60 expert speakers from 25+ countries came together to debate Europe’s future on security, trade, technology and global influence. Framed by the insight that “2025 represents a pivotal moment for Europe to confront the looming challenges of security and economic competition and redefine its place in the world” and that “Europe is looking to address these challenges by redefining its place in the world”, the conference directly engaged with issues at the core of our advisory work: Russia’s war against Ukraine, transatlantic tensions, China-related security risks, industrial competitiveness, the energy transition and the governance of emerging technologies. Throughout two days of high-level sessions, ATD Consulting followed and engaged with discussions led by prominent figures such as European Investment Bank Vice-President Nicola Beer, Chatham House Director Bronwen Maddox, senior NATO, EU and national officials, as well as leading academics and business leaders, gaining first-hand insight into how Europe’s political, economic and security elites are rethinking strategy under conditions of permanent crisis.
